Fall Recreation 2026

Li'l Strikers Program

Li'l Strikers is for our youngest players looking for a fun introduction to soccer. Pre-school age children through Kindergartners (minimum 3 years old) begin their soccer experience here. There are typically two sessions - fall and spring. Sessions run for 55 minutes Saturday mornings starting anywhere from 8:30-11:30 am. Parent volunteers coach teams, so we are always looking for volunteers; please contact us if you are interested in coaching.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

  • Shin guards

  • Size 3 soccer ball (provided by SYSA during fall sessions only)

  • Drink or water bottle

  • Soccer cleats or sneakers (cleats designed for other sports are not allowed as they are dangerous for soccer)

Soccer equipment can be found at DMK sports in Smithfield or other stores featuring athletic equipment.

Where:

  • Deerfield Park, Smithfield, RI

When: 

  • 7 week program on Saturdays: September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 17, 24, 31

  • Columbus Day weekend is OFF

Included: 

  • Jersey and socks for those in 1st grade and up.

  • Balls will be given to our Li'l Strikers (pre-k and kindergarten)

Price: ​

  • $120 per player

  • Registration will be open from May 1 - June 30

  • There will be a late fee for those registering after the cutoff date

Who:

  • Pre-K through 9th grade (children must be a minimum of 3 years old by the start of the season)

Time:

  • The schedule will be released in August
