Competitive Soccer Division

 


The Competitive Soccer Division organizes teams that compete in a winter (indoor) season that extends from about November 1, to about March 31, and a Spring (outdoor) season that extends from about April 3, through about June 6. Spring season games are organized through the Rhode Island Youth "Super Liga" organization, and teams also may compete in tournaments throughout the region.

Competitive Soccer Information

  • Teams are organized by single ages and gender:
            U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U19

  • Players will be placed on teams according to similar skill levels by single age and gender

  • Most teams will compete in an Indoor season and Spring outdoor season

  • The Indoor season will run from Early November until late March. Practices will be held during the week at Old County Road School and/or The Hab (located in Uxbridge,Ma). Games will be held at the venue of choice determined by the coach. Those games are usually held on weekends

  • The Spring outdoor season (Super Liga) runs from early April until end of June. Practices will be held at Deerfield Park. All home games will be played at Deerfield. Away games will be held at the competing town’s complex. Games will be held on Saturdays or Sundays

  • The cost of the indoor sessions will vary depending on the age group and venue. The cost associated with most indoor sessions will be approximately $100 per session per child. The Spring Super Liga season will be $95 per child

  • If the child is a new player they will need to purchase a Smithfield Strikers uniform. The cost is approximately $55 (short, shirt, socks)

  • SYSA-CSD will make every effort to put all players who try out on a team, however this may not always possible
