SYSA General Meeting Notes
November 14, 2006
v Knights of Columbus Shootout FINALS will
take place on Sunday November 19th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM near the
Shed Side of Deerfield Park.
v By-Law proposals are to be drafted and
turned into the SYSA Board no later than Sunday November 19th end of
day. These proposals will then be
discussed and voted on during the December 12th SYSA General
Meeting. The website will post the
currently submitted proposals for review.
v Player ratings will be reviewed this
evening in preparation for next year’s Recreational Draft.
v The SYSA Banquet will be held on January 12th,
2007 at Wright’s Farm. Registration
forms were passed out during the last weekend of games and the same form will
be posted on the SYSA website for printing and mailing. Remember, this event is a first come, first
serve event. Those coach whose teams
are receiving awards for placing during the regular season, make sure your team
rosters are complete and names are spelled correctly – and contact the VP of
Rec @ VP-RECREATION@SYSA.COM.
v Annette Paiva, VP of Recreation has
announced she will be stepping down from her current role on the SYSA
Board. Please note that all positions
are open for nomination at the December 12th meeting. If you are interested in getting involved,
let the SYSA Board know!
v CSD report was given by the VP of
Competitive, Bob Moretti. Items
discussed were By-Law changes for CSD regarding players requesting playing up,
obtaining payments for second session and Spring.
v Treasurer’s Report was submitted and
discussed. If anyone is interested in
the financials, please let the SYSA Board know.
v Discussion took place regarding expanding
the current shed and/or concession stand area.
Ideas are being discussed, and if there are any thoughts on this matter
please contact an SYSA Board member.
Klotter Farms company was recommended for storage enclosures by David
Gremza.
v Next General Meeting will take place on
Tuesday December 12th, 2006 @ 7:30 at the Smithfield Senior Center.
