MISCELLANEOUS:

5. SYSA at the conclusion of the Recreational Season will provide awards to teams placing as follows:

When there are 8+ teams in a division, awards will be presented to the first, second and third place teams in such division.

When there are 7 or less teams in a division, awards will be presented to the first and second place teams in such division.

SYSA reserves the right to determine what the award will be each year (trophy, medal, certificate, etc.).

Rules and Regulations

K. Players Changing Age Divisions - (U-14 and Below):

The following criteria must be met for a player to be considered for playing up:

1) 98th percentile in the most current recreation ratings (after ratings have been cleaned and agreed upon under the normal recreation policy) and drafted on the first line of the most recent recreation draft.

2) Two separate recently written recommendations from two external coaches such as premier, ODP, middle school, etc.  Source of coaches must be identified to the CSD committee and agreed to before recommendations are obtained.

3) Three SYSA recreation head coach recently written recommendations.  The coaches must be from the most recent Rec season and have seen the player play.  One of the recommendations must come from the player’s head coach.   A recommendation may not be from a coach that is on the CSD committee that also may have special interests with the particular situation.

4) The CSD committee reserves the right to see the player in action on the field before final decisions are made.

5) The decision must be made with two thirds majority of the CSD committee members voting yes with no less than 6 yes votes in order to be granted.

6) Granted requests are valid for one season and may not be reneged once granted.
